Profusians is an open source "add on" library for the wonderful prefuse visualization toolkit. It aims to

• provide solutions for tasks on top of prefuse
• inspire other prefuse developer to share their insights about prefuse in form of open source
• help to shape/establish the SOS license

Profusians has just started. At the moment it consists of

• a refactored version of zone manager, a toolkit to cluster prefuse nodes (including a basic tutorial, finally)
• partly improved solutions of tools previously published in the prefuse assistance pool PAP
• treefuse alpha - a very basic tree editor demonstration
• some new stuff

SOS License

Profusians can as such hardly stand on its own feet but intends to stimulate discussions about how to grow. It is our hope that future versions of profusians will become the fruit of conjoined efforts of a group of prefuse developer sharing the wish to transfuse help in many ways. As a starting point, the forum will be the place for feedback and discussions. This web site being a wiki will later give the opportunity for further community spirit to arise. Beyond that, it is up to us where to go.

The idea of the SOS license is besides these wishes a driving force behind profuse. Profuse is published under this license, please see the SOS license section to learn what this is about. Again, also here are things not set, just an idea about to manifest.
